11/08/09 - Domestic Violence

Hey everyone, Dr. Nick here. The topic of this weeks show was pretty heavy. Domestic violence is nothing to laugh at, which affects far too many people in this country.

During the show, we discussed various traits found in those people who like to abuse. Another topic that generated interest revolved around one question – Why do people stay in abusive relationships? L. Brooks suggested keeping a stash of money on the side to make an escape. For us, it was a lively discussion and I hope you can find some of the information helpful.

We had a caller today who discussed what a friend of hers was going through at the hands of an abusive partner. We told her to try to be there for her friend and to be mindful of her own safety.

Well…next week, we’ll try to have a lighter topic...something more uplifting and fun. Until then, Happy Orgasms.

11/01/09 - What do you want in a mate?

Hey everyone, Dr. Nick here. I would like to thank everyone who supports the show. Believe it or not but today was our 25th radio show. We going strong and we’re working on ways to make the show bigger and better. Anyhow…

So, let me ask you – what do you want in a mate? Ask I explained to L. Brooks, I’m attracted to educated women. I know some guys are afraid to date women who are educated and make good money. Well for me, as for messing around with the ‘wrong women,’ I finally found one. She’s also attracted to educated people so I guess we’re a good fit together.

My message to guys – Try to find someone who you like & someone who likes you for who you are. Happy Orgasms…

10/25/09 - Types of Love?

Hey everyone, Dr. Nick here. Thanks for taking the time to listen to our little show. Today’s show was a bit academic but we thought the topic was interesting.

So, let me ask you – what type of love relationship are you in? We both felt we are in a companionate-type relationship. We’re good with commitment and intimacy but a bit lacking in the ‘passion’ area. But so far, we're making it work. I’ll be the first to admit I’m not the most romantic guy on the planet. It’s just something I struggle with (…just being honest!)

With that said, I hope you like this show. If you have any comments or thoughts on your type of love or how you romance your lady, holler at me. Happy Orgasms…

10/18/09 -Is Cheating Ever Good for a Relationship?

Hey everyone, Dr. Nick here. Friends of mine keep telling me that I should start a blog for the show – ‘it’ll make the show more popular’ or something like that. I’m not the best writer so I will keep them short and to the point.

So, let me ask you – Is cheating ever good for a relationship? Speaking for our own relationship, we agree it was not something either of us was interested in. As a therapist, L. Brooks sees the harm cheating can do on a daily basis.

For me, I got the most out of today show when she discussed the 16 reasons why people cheat. Some do it to help their relationships. Others do it to hurt their main partner, as well as, the person they are cheating with. Odd, right?

As you heard, this topic generated some good discussions. So… they question of the day is… would you cheat? If you have any comments or thoughts on cheating (I’m sure you do), drop some knowledge. Happy Orgasms…
